“ Therefore, Hagar used another named to refer to God. She said, “You are the God who sees me. “ Genesis 16:13b Hagar, and her child were sent out of their home to the desert. She had only food, a container of water, and the clothes on her back. She had nowhere to go. She wandered aimlessly. Sarah had maltreated her. Because, Hagar had wandered so long, with no place to go, she ran out of food and water. God spoke to her heart and led her to a safe place, and a well full of water! She quickly filled her water container and gave the boy a drink. She had been mistreated before. It was back then when she first realized that “God sees” what happens to her, and now He sees again. The boy grew up to be a father of many nations. His name is Ishmael, Abraham’s eldest son. Life has a way of either making you stronger or making you weaker. I do not know what you are facing today.
