Fear a Strategy from the Enemy
The apostle Paul warned Timothy of unhealthy fear: “For God gave us a Spirit who produces not timidity, but power, love and self-discipline." 2 Timothy 1:7 Fear, low self-worth, and intimidation are Satan's most potent weapons. Paul speaks about a spirit of fear. Fear forms in your mind and then an unhealthy response to fear births in your spirit. This spirit of fear is given to you by Satan. Your mind is the Enemy's battlefield. He battles every day in the spiritual realm to defeat you. When he develops certain negative thoughts in your mind, he wants it to stay their until it overtakes your spirit. Someone once said that Satan's strategy is to destroy or reduce you to nothing because he hates God and anything God has done. He is sterile and cannot create anything himself.
