The Reward of Persistent Prayer

[Jeremiah 29:12-13 (CJB)]: "When you call to me and pray to me, I will listen to you. When you seek me, you will find me, provided you seek from me wholeheartedly;"

Dear Ladies,

I write this blog with you and the many prayers that you have prayed in mind.

Luke 18:2-5] "In a certain town, there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected other people. There was also in that town a widow who kept coming to him and saying, 'Give me a judgment against the man who is trying to ruin me.' For a long time he refused; but after awhile, he said to himself, 'I don't fear God, and I don't respect other people; but because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see to it that she gets justice - otherwise, she'll keep coming and pestering me till she wears me out!"

God is not a cruel judge. When we persist in prayer, we are not pestering Him! Jesus told his disciple this parable, in order to impress on them that they must always keep praying and not lose heart.  In the next verses, Jesus continues the conversation with his disciples. "Then the Lord commented, 'Notice what this corrupt judge says. Now won't God grant justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Is he delaying long over them? I tell you  he will judge in their favor, and quickly! But when the Son of Man comes, will he find this trust on the earth at all [Luke 18:6-8 (CJB)]?"

Jesus's point is when you persist in prayer have faith that God's judgment will be in your favor, and quickly. The widower did not give up because she had faith that the judge was going to give her justice. She knew she was right.  That is the reason for her resilience. She trusted God not the judge. Trust God not the circumstances.

When you stop praying it diminishes  your trust in God. Praying moves us into the presence of God. Pray always about everything for when you pray God is listening and He will answer. He is doing a good work whether you hear from him or not. His answers are always in yours and others best interest. Not just yours alone.

Remember that no one owns your soul, mind, heart or body. Out of 7.753 billion people in the world, there is only one unique you.  No one not even your twin has your unique DNA, mind, spirit or soul. Be persistent and have the kind of chutzpah about your life, as the widower in Jesus' parable had.

May God judge in your favor,
