WORRY NO MORE ! - GOD IS WORKING FOR YOU! Part I
When we worry we are saying we don’t trust in God’s care.
Read Matthew 6:25-30
Worry
does not provide us with anything for our own growth. If we do not
believe that God cares for and helps us, then we could be in danger of becoming
overburden and anxious.
The life God
calls us to is much more than a daily struggle for daily necessities. We
only need to look at how God has provided for His creation to know that he will
also take care of us. When we believe and trust God, we know and believe God
will take care of us. If God looks after the small and fragile parts of
His creation to make sure everything is daily provided for, the question is,
why can’t we trust God to show the same care for us every day?
God is
working for you not against you. Think about this fact. Your life is
in God's hand. You cannot depend upon the heart of man. A man's heart is fickle
and uncertain. And, do you think Satan will really help you? Of course
not! Satan came to steal, kill, and destroy. Satan looks to devour us by
weakening us with anxiety/worry. This wears us down physically and emotionally,
making us weaker and weaker in both soul and body. Sometimes we
become so physically weak in our mind we cannot move. We may even become
depressed and mentally unstable.
Satan attacks his prey when they are weak, never when they are
strong.
When our
thoughts and energies become consumed by worrying over our needs, then we are
really are no better than people who do not know God and the goodness of God.
Jesus calls for us to have confidence in our Heavenly Father’s knowledge
of our needs and His care. Do you have faith in the goodness of God and in His ability to provide?
David
said in Psalm 56:8 that God keeps track of all our sorrows. He has collected
all our tears in his bottle. He has recorded each one in his book. Then he
states, "This I know God is on my side!"
Do you
know this? Do you know that God is on your side? He asked us not to
worry.
Actually, Jesus told us in Luke 21:14, "But make up your mind NOT to worry beforehand...""
Actually, Jesus told us in Luke 21:14, "But make up your mind NOT to worry beforehand...""
This
means we can control our emotions and make up your
mind not to worry. After all these years, I finally have. I refuse to let what I feel control my thoughts and take over my life. I take it to the LORD in prayer. Every concern I now place in his hands to sustain and keep me and my family until the very end.
We are
not to be anxious about anything but in everything, pray and
petition God with thanksgiving and our requests.
The only
way to know God is on your side is to trust and obey Him. We you trust him and believe, He will answer. I believe that God will
answer in one of three ways; Yes, Wait, or I have something better!
