Your answer is on the way !
It has been a while since I blogged largely because of family medical and time consuming events in my life this year.
Years ago I made the following prayer a part of my personal prayer time.
" Our God, our Father, tend us, feed us, sustain us, maintain us, and comfort us. Grant us speedy relief, Lord our God, from all our troubles. And please, Lord our God, let us not need other people's gifts or loans, but only Thy filled and open hand, holy and bountiful. So that we may not ever be shamed or humiliated. Amen."
This prayer has brought my soul comfort many times. And I, like others, have faced difficult and even impossible situations. Yet I find peace and rest in Him and I keep on going.
You may be bearing a heavy load of disappointments, financial burdens, overwhelming situations, or the death of a loved one or the final end to a long relationship. However, God is able to help us, keep us from sin, temptation, shame or disgrace. If we would not let the impulse toward evil rule over us.
His love for us (you) keeps us in the palm of His hands. And we can say with confidence, "keep us from evil men and worthless companions."
His will and His desire is to provide everything we need including the way out of difficult situations. He slew the giant of destruction now you must let Him rebuild and restore your life.
He is making a way for you now so don't give up; trust and obey. God's answers are not found in the shouting, screaming or the pleading of your prayers, nor does the answer come in the shedding of many tears, having pity on yourself or promising to do better. The answer is found in quietness and peace, and in the whispers of His voice as you listen to Him while you pray. Stop and think for a moment about how often when we pray it is a one-way conversation.
We do all the talking and then arise from our knees and leave. God is saying wait a minute I have something to say! You can't hear the answer if you don't wait for it.
Next time you pray, stop, wait and listen. Each day do the same, "stop, wait and listen."
Please know that God will answer either yes or no. I have heard many Christians say that God says, " Yes, No or Maybe". This is not scripturally sound. God is not a maybe God. He knows His answer. It is either yes or no. Jesus was very clear how we should answer. He said let your yes be yes and your no be no. He never said let your maybe be maybe. He is not thinking about whether or not He is going to do something. He already knows what He is going to do. Isaiah 46:10'states that He knows the end from the beginning.
Isaiah 46:10 " I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, 'My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.'
So, waiting is not a maybe as though God is trying to make up His mind. Waiting means that we wait until He answers and we trust Him until He does.
God our Father is certain about what He will or will not allowed. He is Sovereign and He knows what we need and He is faithful to provide. I must admit it is very hard at times to hear that the answer is no. But, there were times that I was very glad the that the Lord said no! The answer kept me from great harm. Whether it is yes or no I believe and know that it is for my good, and He will never lead me astray .
So throughout the years I have learned and lived Psalms 46:10, "Be still and know that I am God." I have learned to sit, wait and listen for the answer.
While I am waiting I know that He takes pleasure in those who trust and rely on Him no matter what is happening in their lives.
Often, the very thing that looks like it is going to take you over or under is the very thing that God can turn around if you wait, obey, and put your trust in Him.
He indeed has the answer because He is the answer! Just, simply trust Him even when you can't see your way out.
I leave you with these scriptures;
"The Lord watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy . Psalm 145:20.
"Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence. Hebrews 4:16
" I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of The Lord in the land of the living. Wait for The Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for The Lord." Psalm 27:13-14
