Let It Go and Move On

"Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10 (NASB)

My natural tendency in life was to worry about everything! Seriously, worry was my best friend. She went everywhere with me for many years. Her and her best friend Fear.  They were my friends when I went to bed and when I woke up.  I knew Jesus said, " Do not worry." But, I couldn't get pass my two friends.  I prayed but I couldn't let them go. Then one day it became clearer to me when the Holy Spirit said "Do not invite worry into your life."  It was a command from Him not a choice. And, therefore, I had to let it go.  The longer fear is with us the greater the harm that can be done to our mind, body and soul.

It takes a lot of energy to worry. When I had them as companions they drained me of my physical and emotional strength. I had little reserve for the real battles (which is what Satan wants so he can kill, steal and destroy us).

Because fear was always with me I made decisions that were based on someone's else happiness and not my own.  So letting it go was the best thing that every happened to me.

I no longer have to "fight or flight", have sleepless nights. I now live by Philippians 4:6-7 " Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

My pray for you is, as my sister Janice said to people at my Mom's funeral, that you will not live your life just any old kind of way. And, that you realize that fear and worry are not your friends in stressful times. They are your enemy and are used by Satan to rob you of a clear mind and a trustful heart.
Which brings me to this point, trust the One, Jesus our Lord, who loves you so much that He gave His very life to bring you the Peace of God.

May God's Grace, Mercy and Love be with you;
