He delivered me and saved me out of all my troubles!

"I sought the LORD, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked to Him...This poor man cried out, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all His troubles. " Psalms 34:4-6

In 2008, I went to Jerusalem to speak at a conference on "Design for Six Sigma". The picture in this blog is me and a couple of other women worshiping and praying at the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem.  My family was heavy on my heart that day so I cried to the LORD about their situations.

We all need a Word or something to hold on to when we are going through tough times. That day I held on to LORD at the Wall. It was the wall of my tears, pain, and victory. I held on to my Redeemer at that wall. I needed him to help me keep breathing my way through everything that was going on in my life and my children lives at that particular time.

No matter what comes our way we cannot get through it or even finish it without holding on to Jesus (Yeshua) and our faith. David was going through a really tough season of suffering when he penned the words to Psalm 34, "I sought the LORD, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears."
He even pretended to be insane to escape his enemies. He had enemies everywhere. Whether he was in the mountain or the valley, he had enemies. He had no way out.  He needed the LORD to deliver him.
He was so poor and hungry that he begged the priest for holy bread. He was not even close to fulfilling the purpose that God had for his life at that time.  But, he believed the words of the LORD when he told Samuel the prophet, "Rise and anoint him; this is the one." And, those words stayed with him until He became King of Israel, just as God had promised.

Who words are you believing?  The LORD Jesus is saying the same thing to us, "Rise and be anointed; for you are the one! You are the one He will deliver and you are the one that He loves.  How do you know that He heard you? You will see the results! You will see the complete victory over the situation you are in and you will have peace in your heart.

Psalm 34 was my Mama's favorite scripture.  I hope it becomes yours as well.

Without  the Love of Christ where would we be?
Blessings;
