I am not inferior to you
What you know, I know also. I am not inferior to you." Job 13:2 (NLT) Job was a righteous man who had everything and was God's servant. One day the evil one came to wrecked his life. His body was weak and his skin was diseased. His friends gave advice that was based on his present condition.
Six months ago, my mother passed away and went home to be with the Lord. She was a very beautiful, tenacious and strong woman. She never let her present situation determine her promised tomorrow. She instilled in us these words, "It is not the outside of the balloon that makes it fly, it is the "stuff" inside." She would say that no one is inferior to another person. It does not matter where you live, what you do, how you look or your present situation. Your wealth, possession, looks and status in life does not make you better or worst. We are inferior to God and God alone.
You must live your life with the purpose God has for you.You uniquely have what no one else has. Paul the apostle, writes, "Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won't need to compare yourself to anyone else. For we each are responsible for our own conduct." Galatians 6:4-5 (NLT)
Many people never reach their full potential because they have not taken full responsibility for their conduct. They see themselves less than others because they compare themselves to others. Your connections can break or make you. Are you swayed easily and do you compromise your values to get what you want or to keep your current friends?
Jesus said," Do not be swayed by every breath of wind." Do not compromise for convenience. Stay on course! The right path is usually the narrow path. Eagles do not fly with the chickens, and they are not swayed by the strong winds. They keep flying to rise above the storm. The eagle never makes a flight based on the inferiority of the situation. The eagle knows that he is not inferior to anyone. When the storm comes he flies alone with the Creator at his side. You never have to walk alone, but there are times you must fly alone above the storms in prayer, with the Creator, our LORD at your side.
My mom's words "about the stuff inside" helped me to realized that I was not inferior to anyone, and if I gave my life to Jesus and asked Him to take over, everything would changed. That decision gave me the courage to leave some things, and certain people behind, and I started on a different path. I was able to choose life and not death. The day I made that decision, was the day I realized that He looked beyond my faults and saw my needs. Ephesians 1:4, "Even before God made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ." Today know that God chose you and your present situation does not make you inferior to anyone. The situation is just right for flying above the storm!
My prayer for you today: "Dear Abba, Our Heavenly Father, may it be Your will that we become accustomed to walk in the way of Your commandments, and to cling to your percepts. Sin, transgression, iniquity, or disgrace keep far from us. Let not the impulse toward evil rule over us; keep us far from evil men and women, and worthless companions; and help us cling to the impulse toward good and to good deeds. Bend our will to Yours. Let us remember that we are loved, and we are not inferior to anyone but You. Give us this day and every day grace, favor, and mercy - in Your sight. Bestow upon us your loving kindness." In Jesus' Name I pray and ask.
With much love for the Savior,
Pastor Patricia
