Waiting on His Grace

"But Adonai's eyes watch over those who fear him, over those who wait for his grace to rescue them from death and keep them alive in famine." Psalm 33:18-19 (CJB)

David, the author states that God eyes watch over those who wait for his grace! Throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, God's willingness to give us grace is found. In the Old Testament (Hebrew Bible) when you received God's grace; it meant that you received his blessings plus his mercy (his goodness toward those in misery) together.  When you said that you were waiting on God's grace, most likely you were saying that you were waiting on both his blessing and mercy to rescue you or deliver you. Maybe to deliver you from the fear of man, death, a hopeless future, danger, evil, enemies, darkness or poverty.

I need his unmerited favor, but I also need his blessings and mercy together.  Waiting on his grace is an indication that I am expecting his grace to come just in time to rescue me!  God's eyes watch over those who are expecting him to turn toward them and show his favor, blessings and mercy. He freely gives it because that is who he is. Grace! Grace!

Next time you need a blessing and mercy together just shout Grace! Grace!  He will hear, see, and come to rescue you. Wait and see the goodness of the Lord.

Dear Heavenly Father,
May you turn your face toward me today and show me your grace, in keeping with your judgment for those who love your name. Guide my footsteps by your Word, don't let sin rule over me. Please be gracious toward me and show me your mercy and your goodness. In Yeshua's (Jesus') Name, I ask and pray.  Amen!

Called to be a blessing,
Patricia
