Endure to the End
We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy,.." Colossians 1:11
Both of my parents had Alzheimer’s disease and have gone to be with the Lord. When they came to live with my youngest sister, she promised that she would see them to the end. She gave up her career as a College Professor to care for them. She would often pray, “Lord if you don’t help me. I won't have any help.” She was asking for Jesus to carry her as she carried my parents through that awful disease. She endured to the end with sweat, tears, the Word of God in her heart, and many whispered prayers into the ears and heart of our Lord.
Each time the load got too heavy for her to carry the Holy Spirit would bring up to her spirit His Holy Word. That same Word that was rooted and grounded in her spirit many years before she would ever need it would rise up and strengthen her. The more strength and patience she needed, the more she kept whispering in His ears to help her bear the burden and endure the task. She asked God for new mercies. Jesus would give her that and a "just in time" Word. A Word needed for that moment in time to help with all she had to do .
Are you in a difficult situation that you are facing right now and you want to give up? It seems too hard to bear? The road to success is paved with endurance. Remember, Jesus told us to take our burdens to Him. He knows that we cannot do this by ourselves! You know the weight you are carrying and for some of you, no one else knows, but you. Pray that God will strengthen you with all his glorious power so you will have the endurance and patience you need to make it through. Endurance is possible when you WRO (Whisper in His ears (Pray), Read His Word, and Obey).
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, My God, and the Rock of my salvation. Bow down Your ear, O LORD, hear me; For I am in need of your strength and power. Preserve my life for your are my God; Save your servant who trusts in You! Be merciful to me, O Lord and help me bear the load that you have given me. I know that you will not give me more than I can bear. You alone are God, teach me your way, and help me walk in Your truth. For great is Your mercy toward me. This I pray in the Name of Jesus, Amen!
For His Kingdom,
