Disappointed in God?

When you are disappointed in a person or about a situation it hurts, but eventually you get over it.  However, when God (Our Heavenly Father) disappoints us we can feel overwhelmed with despair and fear.  We feel as though God has rejected us, and ignored our needs. We ask questions, "Why didn’t God come through for me when He has the power to do so? How will I get through this? "You are my God, my stronghold; why have you rejected me? Why must I walk in gloom (disappointment), oppressed by the enemy? Psalm 43: 1-2

During the days of disappointment, I quickly do a self-evaluation and ask,  "Why am I disappointed?  Is this a selfless want or a selfish want?"  I know in the depths of my heart that He does what is best for my life and me even if I don’t understand it! I refuse to be afraid of what the future holds. If I am expecting Him to take care of me than I am also expecting Him to do what He knows is best for me! He is my redeemer. He is my hope! Psalm 56:19, “He redeems me unharmed from the battle against me.”
