Praying For You!

as you pray at all times, with all kinds of prayers and request, in the Spirit, vigilantly and persistently, for all God’s people.”  Ephesians 6:18 (CJB)

Once, I asked my Mama to pray for me to achieve something that was very important. I asked her for help and walked away. I had perfect peace in my heart and mind that she would do it. I could trust her to pray. She prayed often, and it was not just at a particular time. She prayed while cleaning, cooking, and alone in her room. She was the picture of the Apostle Paul’s instructive words in Ephesians 6:18. The Apostle even asked the Ephesus Church to pray for him! We all need prayer! She was always praying for our Daddy and her nine children. Her prayers sustained me throughout my life.

Romans 8:26-27(CJB) says that the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we don’t know how to pray the way we should. But the Spirit himself pleads on our behalf with groanings too deep for words, and God who knows all hearts, know what the Holy Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s will. John 17 states that the Son of God, Jesus prayed for us! God promises to answer your prayer when you seek after Him!

He promised to listen to you when you call.  “When you call to me and pray to me, I will listen to you. When you seek me, you will find me, provided you seek me wholeheartedly; and I will let you find me, says  Adonai (LORD)!” Jeremiah 29: 12-13 (CJB)

It is very comforting to know that you are not praying alone. God’s providence is working every day to bring about the right people, at the right time so that you will received the right thing for you, according to His perfect will. In other words, hold on, wait, don’t give in or fallout; God is working it out for your good and His perfect plan for your life.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,
May it be Your will, O Lord our God, our King, that we become accustomed to walk in the way of Your Holy Word and to cling to Your precepts. Lead us not into sin or transgression and iniquity, or into temptation or disgrace; let not the impulse toward evil rule over us; keep us from evil men and worthless companions; and help us cling to the impulse toward good and to good deeds. Bend our will to Yours. Give us this day and every day grace, favor, and mercy - in Your sight and in the sight of all men, and bestow upon us Your loving kindness. Thank You Lord for storing  loving kindness upon me, my family, friends, and all your People. In Jesus’ Matchless and Wonderful Name, I ask. Amen!

By His Grace for our lives,
PatrĂcia McNair
